Founders Story

Born from a love for exceptional coffee, Abhimanyu Jham founded The Brew Room in 2017 in the hearts of Delhi, a sanctuary for coffee connoisseurs seeking perfection in every sip. However, the unforeseen challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic forced its doors closed. Back in his hometown, Abhimanyu’s passion for coffee remained undimmed.

Now in 2024 he unveils his latest ventures: KOLABA COFFEE ROASTERS and GRANDMA’S PIE. Located in Gurugram, it is more than just a coffeehouse; it’s a sanctuary where the rich aromas of freshly roasted coffee beans sourced from different estates of Chikkamagaluru mingle with the tantalizing scent of wood-fired pizza.

We take great pride in offering a diverse range of coffees that consistently surpass the standards set for specialty-grade beans. In the specialty coffee realm, where a minimum score of 80 points out of 100 is the norm, we go the extra mile by exclusively sourcing coffees that achieve scores of 84 or higher.

Our commitment to quality extends to our sourcing practices. While the majority of our coffee is certified organic, we recognize the need for exceptions, particularly when sourcing single origins from regions where organic certification may not yet be viable. In such instances, we prioritize suppliers known for their unwavering dedication to environmental stewardship.

Moreover, our emphasis on transparency ensures that our coffee is highly traceable, often sourced directly from a handpicked group of producers with whom we have cultivated strong relationships.

To ensure quality and freshness, we roast to order in small batches. We've streamlined our roasting and shipping procedures to guarantee the utmost freshness of our coffees, whether they're destined for our subscribers or our cafes.
